The second key biochemical state in your body which needs to be present for health is low oxidation/high antioxidants.

The oxidation process in our body is a healthy one and reflects your internal health. At the same time when high levels of oxidation are present it triggers heart disease, inflammation, cancer, allergies and immune reactivity. Essentially oxidation in excess is your body rusting. It accellerates the ageing process and all the chronic conditions that come with it.

So oxidation in itself is not bad, but excessive levels are. And diet and lifestyle are the two primary triggers for elevated oxidation. To offset the increase in oxidation you can remove the offending items from your diet such as poor quality fats, sugar, smoking, stress, lack of sleep and processed foods.
